How we protect your research

Here is how Vantaria keeps your lab’s notebooks, protocols and results private. If your institution needs more detail for its review, ask us and we will provide it.

Data residency

One region for your data: Your lab’s data is stored in one region, confirmed with you before anything is uploaded. Everything you upload, and everything Vantaria builds from it, is stored in that region.
You choose where the AI works: You also choose where the AI may work on your data, whether only in your region or more widely. Only an admin can change this, and every change is recorded.

Who can see your data

Your lab: Each lab’s data is kept separate from every other lab’s, and your lab decides what, if anything, to share.
Not Vantaria staff: Vantaria staff do not open your lab’s records. If you need help, you choose what to show us.
Your saved work: Saved answers, protocol drafts and gap analyses are visible only to you.
Connected folders: Folders you connect are read only: Vantaria never changes or deletes the files in them.

How the AI uses your data

No copies kept: The AI reads what it needs for your request and keeps no copy afterwards.
Your team has the final say: Nothing the AI finds joins your lab’s memory until someone on your team confirms it.

Encryption

Your lab’s own key: Your lab’s files are encrypted with a key that belongs to your lab alone.

Deleting and exporting

Deleting files: Deleted files can be restored for 30 days, and after that they are removed for good, along with anything drawn only from them.
Deleting saved work: Saved answers and drafts are removed as soon as you delete them.
Exporting: You can export your files, your lab’s confirmed knowledge and your saved work at any time.
Closing an account: If your lab closes its account, you have 30 days to change your mind.
